FORTELLERFESTIVALEN 2026
19.-22. mars
PROGRAM 2026
We Are Fox
Night falls in the gritty city, and a shadow slips between the cars, pads through the shadows. This is fox time. Will you join us? Story Jam (UK) brings you old stories with sharp teeth and wild yowls - tales that are curious about life surviving and thriving in the hive of the city.
The Witness
His story became History. Her story became Heresy. The sacred and profane collide in this striking performance by interdisciplinary artist Jo Blake (UK), inspired by the rediscovered Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
From the Mountains to the Sea
This collection of Palestinian family stories spanning 70 years is a poetic tribute to an ancient land and its people. These are stories that Sarah Abusarar (CA) grew up hearing. “While my Croatian mother told me fairytales, my Palestinian father told me real-life stories that also contained kings, brave young men and monsters.”
Lecture: Reviving the Palestinian voice through the use of traditional stories
This lecture will explore the history of the Palestinian oral tradition and how storytelling has been used and continues to be used as a form of resistance. With Sarah Abusarar.
Workshop: Urban storytelling with Story Jam
Lucy and Alys invite you to come and explore how the traditional stories talk to our modern environments, and how the places we live can inform how we tell our stories.
Workshop: Embodied storytelling with Jo Blake
A professional workshop exploring a range of approaches and processes for working with body and movement within storytelling.
